What started off as a quiet and serene morning on the Sound, ended up in COMPLETE FISH CATCHING PANDEMONIUM!
Cyrus and his family started off their morning on a glassy boat ride with Capt Joby, and within 10 minutes of live-lining bunker on the first spot started an absolute beatdown on bass to 24 pounds! After boating 8 of our fine striped bass friends (all but one over the slot), the group went on the troll for an incredible treat of monster bluefish, the biggest weighing in at 14 pounds.
The fact that there are vast amounts of peanut bunker both in the bays and open Sound, it seems that we can count on a consistent bite of bass and bluefish well into the summer.
