Now that we are well into July, our local water temp has risen into the mid and upper 70’s. While this has slowed down the stripers a bit, it has also led to an obsolutely incredible bluefish bite! All week, our anglers managed to pound away at blues from 9 to 14 pounds, with multiple double headers on the troll. With the abundance of small baitfish throughout the Sound- such as peanut bunker and bay anchovies, we can certainly expect solid bluefish action well into the fall months.
No experience is necessary. You only need to bring whatever you want to eat or drink. All ages are welcome. We have comfortable life jackets for all the kids.
Plenty of great fishing for the serious angler as well. Light tackle popping plugs have been deadly for taking dusk and dawn stripers as well as bluefish all day long!
