30 Oct September and October Fishing Report
Although the summer is over and the temps are cooling down, the fall bass bite has been RED HOT! Massive schools of peanut bunker are on the move, and the bass are taking every opportunity to fatten up for the impending winter. While live bait has been the key to success for the larger fish, slow trolling soft plastics has proven irresistible to quality fall stripers. The trolling action is non-stop and perfect for family fishing. Nearly every trip has multiple keeper slot fish (28-31 inches). We expect this bite to get even better and it will certainly last through the end of the November!
As for bottom fishing the blackfish bite has also been non-stop with most fish in the 14-20 inch range, as well as some beautiful seabass and a few giant porgies mixed in. The blackfish limit is 3 fish per angler at at 16 inches or larger.
