28 Apr Big Fish Afternoon Striper Bite in the Wind
As if it was a completely different day, the afternoon turned cloudy, windy and cold, but amazingly the bite just got hotter with bigger fish! Scott S. and his son Hunter braved the far from perfect elements and were rewarded with some above average April stripers. Not only did Hunter catch his first line-sider ever, the duo managed 8 bass, four of which weighing in at just over 20 pounds.
With more favorable weather on the horizon, we will soon see more and more bunker moving into the inner harbors followed by the big lunkers our area is known for in the spring and early summer. If this season is anything like last year, we can certainly expect an amazing May and June striper run.
