The Western Sound is absolutely teeming with bait and HUGE stripers! Both of Saturday’s trips, morning and afternoon, were a full-on picture perfect display of what striper fishing should be. Out at sunrise, the DeFeo boys managed to entice about a dozen beautiful stripers to 25 pounds and bluefish to 12 pounds, all on live bunker. For the afternoon round, Kimarie and her friends managed close to 20 bass, the biggest weighing in at a hefty 28 pounds! As we have seen so many times, live bunker was the key to some unbelievable top water action!
