The annual Manhattan Cup event was held on Friday, June 6 with a departure point of Liberty Landing, NJ. This is the most prestigious fishing charity event supporting veterans. It is an all-release tournament. Captain Joby has been dialed into the Western Long Island Sound bite and made the call to bring the team back to our home waters. Long Island Fishing Charters donated their flagship boat to the 23rd Annual Manhattan Cup held on June 7.  Captains Joby Vinarksi and Andy LoCascio hosted three warriors along with Tarin LoCascio for an amazing day of striper fishing. Most of the fleet headed south from Liberty Landing to fish in the ocean. The LI Fish Charters team of John, Ed, Roberto, and Tarin chose to head back north to their home waters. First-timers Samantha and Isabella along with their grandparents Al and Carol got into multiple bluefish blitzes that yielded fish on both poppers and trolling.  They were also treated to an extended visit with one of the large pods of dolphins that have been roaming the western Long Island Sound.  Near the end of the trip they switched over fluke and had two keepers in 27ft of water.
